Who are we?
We’re Chalmers Vera Team, a university motorsport team for Chalmers University of Technology. We mantain and upgrade the most fuel efficient car in Sweden, then we compete with it at least once a year in Europe.
Vera III
Our current competition car is Vera III, it was built in 2015 and we have been upgrading it ever since. The chassis is fully carbon fibre with honeycomb patterning for structural rigidity and it is outfitted with an Internal Combustion Engine which runs on 95 octane gasoline. We compete in the Prototype vehicle category.
The Competition
We currently compete in European Shell Eco-marathon every year. It’s the highlight of our year to go to countries such as France and Poland and show off our new tech as well as socialize with the other universities.
Our best result is 1617 kilometers per liter!
